My name is Max Thylmann and i’m working as a Directing DP and Filmmaker… In the early 2000s I founded a fashion label with a friend. As part of our brand promotion, I ventured into filmmaking to showcase the clothing lines in innovative ways. I also made my first steps in filmmaking shooting riders from the snowboarding and skateboarding scene.
Besides, working for a production company I learned the technical aspects of filmmaking. Gaining hands-on experience with professional film gear and lighting equipment I gathered my skills in cinematography, lighting and editing acquiring the necessary knowledge to bring my creative visions to life. Working as a freelancer since 2012 I produced films for a variety of industries. Over the years I developed my own style combining modern concepts and using one of my vintage lenses. With every upcoming project aesthetics, authenticity and creativity are key parts of my considerations.
Throughout my professional career I worked with companies like Louis Vuitton, Bogner, VOGUE, Bucherer, Audi, FC Bayern, WMF and many more.
